Beekeeping: Preparing Hives for Cold Weather | LDS Prepper

Preparing a bee hive for winter and cold weather is one of the most stressful parts of beekeeping. You don't want all your work to die during the winter. I show how I prepare one of my weaker hives for winter by combining two brood boxes into one. I also share my approach to smoking bees, how I use my hive tool to remove boxes but not damage the edges and my use of screen board bottom covers and the hive top entrance.
